You say it's not a tutorial, because it doesn't directly teach you how to draw something. But I find something more valuable about step-by-step projects - and that's something that really CAN'T be put into words. And that's an artist's work process. What they choose to work on first. When they add detail. Whether they add things or erase them as time goes on. How the rough uncut stone turns into the polished gem. Every piece is different, and as such, can teach you something different, even without a description of how it was accomplished.
THAT in itself is a tutorial, and it turned into a beautiful piece well done!
